Patient Participation Group Click here to read their report 2.Proposed practice development Over the past few years it has become increasingly difficult to provide modern, efficient and comfortable medical services at our surgery in Church Street. You may have seen articles in the local Echo newspaper about a proposed new surgery, that would accommodate the current three Tewkesbury GP surgeries. This proposed plan is for each practice to remain independent, so that the GP's, along with their nurses and staff would still care for their current list of patients in a 'Church Street Practice' setting. The development is still at the planning stage, and you can keep up to date with progress by linking with the following web-site:
3 Please note that this practice is not participating in the Summary Care Records Scheme. The reason for this is because we have a very slow internet connection – and if we were to participate in this scheme at the current time it would slow our IT systems down even further, making it impossible for us to carry out
our normal day to day tasks. If the
situation improves in the future, the practice would consider opting
into the scheme.
